At the heart of the Tourbillon lies a 16-cylinder engine developed in collaboration with Cosworth. Unlike the turbocharged units in the Chiron, this engine is naturally aspirated, delivering power with a linear, screaming crescendo. It is joined by one electric motor at the rear and two at the front, which alone contribute 800 horsepower. The hybrid system enables a 37-mile electric-only range, allowing silent city driving while retaining the ability to run the gas engine continuously for track or highway use.

Design Inspired by Mechanical Watches

The Tourbillon’s name comes from the intricate gears of a mechanical watch, and this theme pervades the interior. The instrument cluster mimics a watch face, with two needles—one for speed, one for revs—resembling clock hands. A large central display with Apple CarPlay remains hidden until needed, preserving the cockpit’s timeless, screen-free aesthetic. Bugatti designers deliberately avoided permanent digital screens to ensure the car does not age visually.

Limited Edition and Price

Bugatti will produce only 250 examples of the Tourbillon, each hand-assembled at its historic Molsheim factory in France. The starting price of $4 million reflects not only the advanced hybrid technology and exquisite craftsmanship but also the exclusivity that comes with owning a piece of automotive art. Every Tourbillon is a bespoke creation, tailored to its owner’s tastes.
